Your privacy is central to the therapeutic relationship. From the moment you get in touch, your information is treated with care, respect, and discretion.
Confidentiality
Everything you share in therapy is confidential, with a few standard exceptions required by professional and legal guidelines. These include situations where:
• There is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else
• There are child protection or safeguarding concerns
• Information is required by law
If any of these situations arise, we will discuss them together wherever possible.
Your Information
I keep only the information necessary to provide you with a safe and ethical therapeutic service. This includes basic contact details and brief clinical notes. All information is stored securely and in line with GDPR and IACP professional standards.
Online Sessions
Online therapy is conducted through secure, encrypted video platforms. I recommend choosing a private, comfortable space where you won’t be interrupted, to help maintain confidentiality on your side.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
• Access your personal information
• Request corrections to inaccurate information
• Withdraw consent for communication at any time
• Ask how your information is stored or used
